At the heart of our worship is the Eucharist, celebrated through the rich liturgy, beauty and symbolism of the Anglican tradition. We value the depth and meaning that this tradition brings to our worship, while seeking to create a space where all are welcomed, valued and invited to encounter God.

We believe the Christian tradition has profound things to offer people who are searching for meaning, purpose and belonging. We are a church where questions are welcome. We take seriously the desire to search, to wonder, to question and to explore — you will not be asked to leave your intellect in the church carpark!

As Anglicans, we value thoughtful faith and are willing to wrestle with the complex and sometimes thorny issues facing our society. We seek to offer a place where faith and reason can sit alongside one another, and where people can explore what belief in God might mean for their lives.

 

In a busy, materialistic and often impersonal world, we strive to be a community where people can find welcome, connection and a deeper sense of meaning.

Located on the corner of Witchwood Crescent and Blackburn Road, East Burwood, Ascension welcomes people from suburbs near and far.
