Children at Ascension
The Church of the Ascension:
* values children.
* wants children to enjoy being at church and enjoy being a child of God.
* supports and cares for young parents in their family roles and engagement with the world beyond church.
* takes Child Protection seriously -the Church must reflect God’s loving care and be a place of safety for all children; and all workers are screened and comply with State and Church requirements for working with children.
* provides fun children’s activities on Sunday Mornings: children’s program (9.30am); fun in church (Kid’s Talks).
* enjoys Sundays when children lead the service.
* works in partnership with World Vision’s Kid’s Hope Program, providing mentors for children at the local primary school.
